Allied Telesis Tackles Yokota’s Phone Issues

Allied Telesis has provided a temporary stateside switchboard number so callers trying to reach customers at Yokota can avoid international toll charges while an ongoing problem with incoming calls is being fixed.

While customers subscribed to Allied’s Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone service are still able to make on-base calls, dial DSN numbers and contact emergency services via 911, anyone from off base attempting to dial an Allied number will receive an error message unless they dial through one of the base’s automated switchboards.

When will this “newspaper” start asking shoddy companies like Allied Telesis the tough questions rather than merely reprinting their bullshit? Stars and Stripes needs to grow up and become a real newspaper, not a PR machine for the military.

More importantly, when is Allied Telesis going to be asked to start producing?

There is a site that has a petition circulating on it. you can find it at www.alliedtelesissucks.org. Not a bad site, has some good info, and probably will draw S&S attention soon enough...hopefully.

you are a fucking jerk off. i try to call my wife at yokota and that shit doesn't go through more often than not. you guys need to get your shit together. i have a daughter over there and i need to talk to them. so the fact that your company is run by a bunch of fuck ups headed by you, the jack of all jackasses pisses me right off. i should by a ticket to narita just to drive down to see you so i can whoop your ass. fuck you and fuck allied telesis.
  • Might consider directing your anger and frustration at the right group of people. This blog post is not written by anyone who works for Allied Telesis, but by someone who is unfortunate enough to have to be daily customer.

I completely feel your pain as I have both their internet and phone service, both of which are lackluster performers.

Anyhow, I understand you are upset but try reading the article properly and realize where you should be directing your anger.
